waco revisited

You might think it's a little strange how often we visit Waco. I never thought I'd love to go to Waco so much, but I do! I am so lucky to have such a sweet husband that doesn't complain about it. I think Waco is starting to get to him too. Sure it's a little pathetic that I still get my eyebrows waxed, hair done, and clothes consigned in Waco but no big deal! Everytime we go to Waco we pretty much have the same routine (depending on when the Baylor game is) - but this weekend we went home for a wedding of a good friend Amanda Brophy and her now hubby Matt! Friday night we enjoyed a nice family dinner around 9pm at none other than Georges. We were pretty hysterical to watch between ordering 4 appetizers (no lie - and they were all came fried and/or with ranch) and me apparently making funny faces because the sliders I ordered came with mayo -- EWWW. I am NOT the type of person to send food back if it's not right but I can absolutely not stand mayo on anything. My dad made MH take pictures of the face I was making on her iPhone. Fun night!

Saturday I ran all my errands (as listed above) and got to see the new movie, Nights in Rohthdane, based on the book by Nicholas Sparks. Ok, so NS is one of my favorite authors! His books are so easy to read and so great. I actually read all of Nights in R on the way back from Auburn last weekend. Although the movie was great, it did not follow the plot line of the book. Does anyone else get super frustrated when that happens? You read the book expecting one thing to happen and then the movie screws it all up. IMO (in my opinion) the book is always better than the movie. But it was fun to go to the movies w/ my mom and sisters (and Marge!)

Saturday night was fun at the wedding. It is always a little strange when you mix Waco and Baylor friends but it was fun to see a lot of people I had not seen in a while. Friends from high school, family friends, college friends and most importantly so many of my Spring '05 girls! You see, I was their pledge trainer in Pi Beta Phi and Amanda was the FIRST of her PC to get married! So many of the girls were there (and fellow PT Caroline V) so it was fun to catch up. The wedding was beautiful in the Brophys backyard and they could not have asked for better weather.

Sunday ended how it usually does, with lunch at Lolitas with the fam! Seriously can't beat that. Also on our list of things to do while in Waco is pick up Cowboy Coffee at Common Grounds on the way out of town.

Looks like we'll be headed back to Waco in two weeks for Parents Weekend/Baylor Game/Wynne has Monday off and is going to hang out in Dallas with mom on Sunday and Monday! Super fun!
