It was so neat to be a part of it - there were 30,000 people in Centennial Plaza in downtown Midland today to welcome the Bush's home. Leading up the their arrival, we heard some great country music by Rodney Adkins, saw the President's plane do a fly over which was REALLY cool, heard Lee Greenwood sing LIVE "I'm proud to be an American", and heard some other great country songs about America over the loud speakers. When George and Laura finally arrived, the crowd went crazy. George talked a lot about his Midland roots, and the values he learned from his parents and from growing up in west Texas. He seemed SO glad to be home and so proud to be a Texan. We LOVE GW! I love him because of the strong man of faith and family that he is. He said in his speech that he might not have always done what was popular, but he always did what he thought was right. He was so funny talking about what tomorrow would be like waking up retired - in Crawford!
It was a great moment in history and we are SO glad we could be a part of it!

That's so neat that y'all got to see them and welcome them back to Texas! I've seen welcome home signs here too and I'm thinking that once security is down a little I might do a drive by to "stalk" the new casa! haha Also, I can help you if you really want to post the video. Call me and it might be easier to walk you through it on the phone. Take care.
