Thanksgiving

Stephen and I had a great time this week celebrating Thanksgiving with my family in Dallas. We left Midland on Wednesday and got to Dallas just in time to eat some yummy Mexican food at Mattitos.....Bob, yes please!

Thrusday was Thanksgiving - we headed over to the Harman's after watching the parade and eating breakfast at the hotel. We took some family pictures outside and then headed in to get ready for lunch - it was SO yummy. My faves were the dressing, sweet potatoe casserole (which I have never liked before) and squash casserole. It was fun and a good time hanging out with the Harman clan.

The Erickson family of 3!

Trippet/Elder clan

The Sisters & Sisters with their BIL (brother in law)

My husband playing with my cousin Elizabeth's little boy - Benjamin

The Turkey Chef, Michael

After lunch, we went back the the hotel where Rachel and I took a nice walk and then we got ready and went back to the Harman's to watch the Aggie/UT game. It was a good game and we had great left overs, and in general a great time hanging out with everyone. Thanksgiving was a sucess! So much to be thankful for! I love thanksgiving, it's all about food, family and football! I love it!

Friday the boys golfed and the girls went to lunch and shopped! It was such a beautiful day in Dallas - we had lunch at some place I can't remember the name, walked around the Village and Synder Plaza a bit and had yummy cupcake from Sprinkles! Friday night we went to Sevvy's for dinner with the Ray family! It was so fun to catch up with them - they pretty much are family and we've had so many trips/fun memories with them sicne we were all babies that it's fun to get together with them as adults. The grandmothers of the families were roomies at Baylor, my mom and dad grew up with Ann and my parents introduced her and Robert. Harlan was in my wedding: sang in it, was an usher, and walked my mom and grandmother down the aisle. We grew up going on beach trips every year with this family when we were little. I love the Rays! After dinner, we went to see The Blind Side -- AHH it was such a great movie. tear jerker!

Saturday we had lunch as a fam at Chips and then headed to Cowboys Stadium for the Baylor vs Texas Tech game! The stadium was amazing, it was a fun time with family and I ran into so many friends (include BFF Jana - who currently resides in California) and was SO proud of my Baylor Bears - we put up a good fight. It was a great Thanksgiving weekend!!!
