All about Us

Welcome to "our" blog! I started this blog when we moved out to Midland from central Texas in hopes that it would help friends and family keep up to date with what we were up to. It has turned into a really fun outlet for me - I love to write and I love to post pictures and this is a great place to do it :) This also serves as an online journal of sorts, so bear with me with some of the longer posts.

I am just a 2o-something Texas girl who's a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, granddaughter, friend, mentor, and Christ follower. I love my husband and the journey we've been on for the past 3+ years. We love Midland & it's mostly because of the amazing people we have met here. Our church {Stonegate Fellowship} is amazing & we have met so many great couples through our small group there. I am also involved in an amazing bible study ministry for high school students {Teen Community Bible Study}, and my ministry related job working with at-risk youth building Christ-like leaders {OpCamp}, book club, bunko club, and currently in a digital photography class @ church! Life is BUSY with no hopes of it slowing down anytime soon. But I wouldn't have it any other way - besides all that crazy stuff, I now consider myself a "runner" after running in my first half-marathon this past fall. Nothing on the schedule yet, but it's a goal of mine to run another half in 2010. In my "spare time" I love hanging at home with my pretty pretty princess girl {our almost 2 year old Golden Retriever, Milly} and Stephen, getting coffee or lunch with my girlfriends, game night with our NKC besties, going to the Y, and catching up on my DVR {I really love TOO much TV}. Other things I am passionate about: people, Horseshoe Bay, Baylor University {and Baylor athletics}, my high school friends, and camp.

What I would really like people to know "about me" is that I am first and foremost a child of God. My relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important thing & I strive to live my life each day for him. I'm so thankful that His mercies are new every morning, as I mess up A LOT! I know He has a perfect plan for my life & right now I'm just trying to submit to His will and enjoy the ride. I love my husband and family and wouldn't have our life any other way than it is right now. We are truly loving this {season} that we are in and trying to live for THIS moment and not for the future. I LOVE the quote on my main page, "enjoy this moment, it is your life" - the moment we are in NOW is our life & I want to enjoy it and not always be looking towards the future. Here's to living for the moment!
