This past week/weekend I went in support of some of my new friends to their high school graduations. Friday I went to Trinity graduation & Sunday to Midland High baccalaureate. I went expecting to support them & be there for this fun celebration in THEIR life but I did not expect to be encouraged or motivated myself. The two girls that spoke Friday @ Trinity were so good. They spoke a lot about following your dreams and just going for it. Not worrying about what others think or comparing yourselves with others dreams and goals - but going for what God has put on YOUR heart to do. It was very motivating. Then Sunday, at MHS - Baron Batch spoke. I've been reading his blog for a while & when I met him afterwards I told him I felt like we were already friends :) He has a recap of what he talked about on his blog here. He talked too about following your heart & dreams and not caring what others think or say but GOING FOR IT> I love that he said just to go for it, try your hardest & if it doesn't work out - then it doesn't work out, try something new. I feel like that's what I've been doing my whole working life - trying something, going for it, it doesn't work - move onto something else. I really feel like photography is something God has put before me and I want to go for it! I do! I was so motivated after this weekend - I started working on my website :) More to come on that soon but just wanted to give a shout out to Baron & post a photo of my cute friends below :) be encouraged! go for your dreams! don't let anyone tell you you can't do it!
Aren't there girls precious? These are my precious friends Rachel & Alex. Although I just met them this year (through Teen CBS) I already have a special special place in my heart for them. They are precious people & I am so glad I got to walk this last year of high school with them and am excited for the many years of friendship to come.
