Just a quick update: We are still in Uganda & are currently at Cannans Children’s Home. We’ve been staying here the past 2 nights and will stay here tonight and then tomorrow we leave for Ethiopia. Today we have been hanging out at Cannans all day playing with the kids! On the agenda was a dance/singing show by all the children, more singing, a dude perfect shot!, sharing time tonight, and praying that Chloe and I get to meet Katie Davis who is right next door at Amazima. (we didn't get to meet katie, but loved meeting some of the children at Amazima) Once we stepped off the bus here the other day my 3 friends sort of found me. They are Esther (who is 13), Alice (who is 15) and Patricia (who is 6). We have been like 3 peas in a pod all week and I’m excited to spend time with them and the other children today.
Stephen had a great birthday yesterday - we started the day with a wonderful breakfast at Cannans, then headed to Pillars of Hope street ministry, back to Cannans for lunch, then to Home Again - ministring to the Karamagung tribe. After that we had a little bit of a break - our ONE night off was Stephen’s birthday - how appropriate! We got to go on a boat tour of the NILE and then eat at the King Fischer Lodge. It was a very memorable birthday. How many people can say they spent their birthday touring the Nile river?
I really can’t even put into words yet what I’ve expierenced. That will have to come later. I hope the images will do the talking so please check those out on facebook.
My devotional I read yesterday was from Mark 11:20-24...”truly I say to you whoever says to this mountain , “be taken up and thrown in the sea”and does NOT doubt in his heart, but believes what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have recieved it and it will be yours. “ So please pray believing with me that these kids can feel Jesus love. I have so many big prayers for them - that they will know they have HOPE and a FUTURE, that they will know God has a purpose for them, praying they will believe that God can do immeasurably more than all they could ever ask or image. Praying they will believe in their dreams and that they can come true. Please pray with me for these beautiful children!
More when we get to Ethiopia!
Thank you all for praying
love you!
