today marks 5 years of marriage to my best friend & hubby, Stephen!
I can't believe it's been 5 years.
in 5 years we've lived in 2 cities (1 condo, 1 apt, 1 house) become mom & dad to 2 dogs, had a combined 10 jobs (mostly mine....), been to over 40 weddings, had close to 200 Sunday pizza nights, traveled to 9 states & 5 countries and started the process to adopt from Ethiopia.
We have grown so much, learned so much, loved so much. Our lives have been gloriously ruined by the gospel. Africa has changed our lives forever & we are so blessed to get to share in the same passion & vision.
We absolutely cannot wait to start a FAMILY.
The number changes often & ultimately it's not up to us but to GOD....
but we would love to have a BIG family!
We still have so much fun together. dancing. singing. being goofy. date nights. playing with the dogs. game nights. football games. the lake. traveling. hanging out with junior high & high school students. I'm so thankful for my goofy, fun, relational, confident, super husband!
My man is so amazing that instead of going straight to our 5 year anniversary trip....we are first going to Baylor homecoming! I get to see some of these beautiful girls!
Baylor homecoming is right next to Christmas & the 4th of July in my book as far as holidays go :)
I pray that as we walk through the next 50 + years of marriage that we will be a LIGHT to this dark world. That Jesus would use us in ways that only He knows about. We believe that "He can do immeasurably more than ALL we ask or imagine" Eph 3:20
God, do MORE than we could ever dream up on our own and may YOU get the glory.
We want to make YOU famous!
Happy Anniversary!!! What a precious post!
