when thank you isn't enough

$5278
is that a joke?
that is the amount we made the week of give1save1!
to say thank you is not nearly enough.
I have been struggling to write this post because seriously, thank you IS NOT enough.

I am a master thank you note writer.
I spend TIME on each note, I always have.  I taught my husband how to write one and my friends know that fun little fact about me.

I wish I could write a HAND WRITTEN note to each and every person that gave that week.  and the weeks following - never before have people given from my blog, but so many of you have so selflessly.
Since I can't write all......

Honestly, I hope you realize Gods perfect timing of our referral and give1save1.

I had been eamiling with Beth for months & it was honestly sort of random we were going in January.

If we were still with Gladney, we needed the money but not for another year+
and not to mention I had to switch weeks with my good friend, Lauren because I stayed in Ethiopia an extra week over New Years.

I didn't know, but God sure did.  He had the WHOLE THING planned out.
If we hadn't have gotten the money we got on our week of give1 we would NOT have been able to accept our referral.

I sent Beth (creator of give1save1) an email thanking her for all her hard work she puts into this website.  Hoping it would encourage her that what she's facilitating is giving orphans FAMILIES!  Her response:
wynne, i'm bawling like a total idiot right now. that is an awesome way to wake up. sometimes i feel like give1 is a waste of time. now i don't. i'm so happy for you and now i have a little nudge to keep the silly blog alive. i can't wait to see him!!!

Sometimes we all do things, advocate, give, encourage, love and we don't know if it matters...but friends it does.  God's got this.  He knows the perfect timing.

I thank Him that He led so many of you to give even just $1 to us that week.

What that did was INVITE you into the story!
You all are a part of Camp's LEGACY now!!!!!!

While thank you isn't enough, what I can say is that I pray every day that the Lord would bless those who have been a part of our journey.  I truly do.  Thank you isn't enough.

on a side note, I have so many fun stories to tell of the week we got our referral but unfortunately I'm back in the middle of paperwork.  We have to re-do our entire home study & our first visit is tomorrow!
So please PRAY for us!  That we get all this paperwork done quickly and efficiently.  It really overwhelms me sometimes but like Jenna said today, at least I'm doing the paperwork to get Camp and not because it's expired.  thankful for the little things!

thanks for being patient with me while I wrestle with so many emotions.  I've tried to blog about how I feel post referral but I'm not sure yet.  it's a rollercoster!

Oh, and I started pre ordering Camp shirts for KIDS so if your little guy or gal wants one head over to the store.....

ok, off to bed.  love you!

  1. Wynne - I write for Give1, and I can't tell you how much I needed to read that today (although Beth probably could). Thank you. Now bring that boy home!
