the morning.

Praise the Lord, all nations!  Extol him, all peoples!  For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.  Praise the Lord.
Psalm 117

Sitting here this morning with a fire going, the glow of the Christmas tree lights on the faces of my two precious babies, coffee + bible in hand, klove streaming through the speakers and a heart full of thankfulness.

How is this my life?

there are many many days that Stephen & I look at each other and ask "is this real life?"
somehow, after almost 6 weeks it still hasn't sank in.
they are home.  forever.  with US!

there were so many days that we wondered - did we really hear God?  were we really going to be entrusted with his children to love?  were we really getting two of them??

the song, before the morning by josh wilson, was a song that got me through a lot of the waiting.
as I was sitting on the floor with the babes + the pups, having just read them from their kids Jesus Calling book, the song came on the radio.

So, hold on you gotta wait for the light
press on and just fight the good fight
cause the pain that you've been feeling
it's just the dark before the morning
(it's just the hurt before the healing)

this is the morning!
this is gods promise fulfilled!
we waited for it, we trusted in his promise, we circled it in prayer, so many surrounded us believing with us
and it's HERE.
the morning!

I was crying out in praise to god this morning singing along out loud to this song as asher & camp had a little band going along with me (they love music!)
it was a moment I've prayed I won't soon forget.

they are here.
and it's ALL because of our sweet God
fulfilling his promises

the faithfulness of the lord endures forever.
amen.
