I am so sorry that I have slacked SO much on my blog. The holidays were just so busy this year and I kind of forgot about my fun little blog.....since I last wrote, Stephen and I went to Lubbock to celebrate his sweet grandmothers 80th birthday, celebrated with good friends Chris and Casey at their wedding in Austin, spent Thanksgiving in San Angelo with Stephen's family, had Stephen's sweet grandparents drive to Midland to visit us and see our home, my parents came to Midland to see our home, attended a few fabulous Christmas parties, spend Christmas break living out of a suitcase! It's been pretty busy!
Christmas started in San Angelo for the weekend, where we had fun driving around in a van looking at lights with Stephen's fam, watching the Cowboys (Even though the game was horrible), ate yummy Mexican food and opened gifts. Then it was off to Waco for the week - we had fun with our new tradition with the Duncans on the "night before the night before" - Seafood fest at the Duncans. We revisited an old tradition with the girls breakfast on Christmas Eve. Went to Christmas Eve service then to Mi's house for dinner and more gift opening! Santa came to the Trippet's house Christmas morning and brought lots of fun goodies for all! That night we went to the annual Lacy Christmas party, always a good time, followed by "Marley and Me"! It was a fun few days....
Then it was off to NYC!! We spent the 26th-31st in the City and as I keep saying we ate, shopped and walked A LOT! We saw some pretty fabulous shows including Jersey Boys, White Christmas, and the Marvelous Wonderettes. We also got to see Steve Tyrell at the Carlyle Hotel which was a real treat! We ate at all our favorite restaurants(include BECCO, if you are going to NYC, you have to check it out!)Del Frisco, BLT Market,Caryle Cafe, Normas, Balthazaar, and a few others I can't think of at the moment. We also got some good shopping in! But most of all, it was just fun being with family!! We are so blessed to be able to go on such fun trips with our family. We got back to DFW on New Years Eve day and got to ring in the new year with our good friends the Ruckers in Fort Worth! We had fun meeting some of their friends and had a late night...especially for us!
The New Year has started off GREAT for the Elders! We made some good New Years Resolutions that we have held onto. I will have to go into that on another post....but just wanted to update you all! Here are some of my favorite recent pics - but I did finally update my Web Album if you want to see them all!!
did you love Jersey Boys?! I've seen it 3 times - can't get enough.
