NKC April Birthday Bash!!

This past weekend we got together with our NKC {no kids club} group for an April birthday celebration! Shannon's birthday is the 12th, Julie's the 11th and mine the 20th! Curtis was planning a surprise party for Shannon but that stinker figured it out so we added Julie & I to the mix. We grilled out fajitas & had margaritas and played our favorite game - fish bowl. The night did not disappoint. The Egg's are GREAT hosts & we had fun eating cake & having a good time. These friends are indescribable. I praise Jesus EVERY DAY for bringing these friends into my life. They are amazing to walk through life with - what a fun night celebrating life!

I was excited to get a shot of each couple!

I am ONLY showing you this picture {it's awful of me} to show you the DIFFERENCE between just taking the picture on auto & actually knowing how to manipulate the camera & shoot on manual. To make a great picture doesn't just mean having a good camera :) this photo also got some fixing up, but can't you see the difference between this & the ones above? This is motivation for all of you that have a DSLR {big digital camera} to learn to use it & make beautiful pics. Now, I just need to teach a friend how to take pictures so I can get some good ones of me & my family :)

  1. Great pictures! (And I do see the difference!) :) I totally wish you could teach me how to use my DSLR! I have a Nikon D40X and wish I could use it to its full potential! You have a beautiful group of friends! Please give Tyler and Laura a hug for us! :)

  4. How did you learn to use your camer? I have a DSLR, but I have never taken a picture other than on the "auto" setting. I can see a HUGE difference in the pictures taken with a different setting. Also, you are AMAZING!! I want you to take some pictures of my family. Will you be here this summer at all? Miss you!
