like a mother.

watched parenthood tonight for the first time since my "parenting" came with a face.
I seriously bawled at the end.
bawled.

is it normal to be nervous?
anxious?
this is becoming so real.
so so real.
I bawled tonight and cried out to god to keep our sweet Camp safe and healthy.
feeling a way I have never felt, a way I can't put into words.

feeling like a mother.

this week was nice to ignore email and facebook for a few days to just get caught up around the house, with WEP & Africa pics.
now I'm behind.
forgive me.
I'm leaving for a wedding in the morning.  one of my very best friends, Scarlett.
you know this emotional feeling won't go away.
last college bestie that got married, I cried for seriously 2 hours after she left the reception.
it's a happy cry.  but it's still a good cry.

praying tonight that Camp will be able to be moved to the foster home facility in Addis soon.
will you pray?
I'm ready to get updated pics of my baby and know that he is safe and healthy all the time.

more blogs and updates next week.
promise.

happy weekend early to me :)

  1. wynne, yes SO NORMAL! and I hate to tell you it only gets stronger. I was going to say worse but that has a bad connotation and I don't think this is a bad thing. Loving someone this much is never a bad thing. Welcome to the love of a momma. I'm so happy for y'all and can't wait for you to get that sweet angel HOME!

  4. I can bet these feelings are completely normal. If you weren't being super emotional it would be weird. And I've heard it only gets worse. And always praying for you guys and that beautiful baby.

  5. Its VERY normal to be nervous. I remember when I was pregnant I prayed that God would help me love my child, I was just so scared that I wouldn't. I promise once you hold him, you will melt, you will change, and you will not be nervous at all. It will be perfect. :)

  6. Your totally a mom!! I giggled a little while reading this because I love experiencing this with you! Being nervous is normal. I am now a mom of 3 and everyday I wake up nervous that I am not doing it right. But hand it to the Lord. You are doing it right. You will do it right and you are the perfect mom for CAMP!! I LOVE YOU LITTLE MOMMA!!
